My name is, Maddie, I am a local bookstore owner & community organizer with a strong background in social media management and burning passion for reading books and one day writing them.

I hold two undergraduate degrees, in Small Business Management & Business Administration with a focus on Social Media Marketing. Currently, I am an EFA member to develop my editing skills, as well as take various courses through edX and Coursera to maintain and develop my social media and other knowledge. I own Smitty’s Book Cellar in Waterville, Maine with my mom and am the founder & president of The Maine Book & Print Collective. As of 2026, I have read over three-hundred books and run my own bookish influencer account on both Instagram & Threads.

My offerings span manuscript refinement, editorial consulting, and brand storytelling for indie authors. Whether elevating the character development & plot of your upcoming release or shaping the narrative arc of a debut novel, I will help you cultivate text that endures—where form meets function with effortless grace.
